There is a saying that goes like: Do not dwell in your past, do not dream of the future, what is important is to focus on the 'PRESENT', it is a gift.

Perhaps many would disagree with me not to look back at the past or not to worry about the future. Yes, the past are collection of memories and history that helps us move forward. We are nothing without our past. While the future holds our dreams and the hope of a better tomorrow. Well, I am not implying that one should not consider the past and the future but rather shift the focus from time to time to your 'present' life.

It is like when you are in the middle of an exciting football match, you were so busy taking photograph of your favorite player (for your collection) that you miss out in enjoying the intensity of the crowd cheering and the winning goal. Another scenario could be when you are physically present but mentally absent during a class lecture or in a meeting. Perhaps you are so occupied thinking about soemthing for the future that you miss out getting some useful inputs from the lecture and meeting?

It is a tricky business to shift one's focus across realm of time. However, if you are able to practice it (at least once in a while) then, you may experience an uplifting comfort that you can actually do so much in your life on a daily basis. We have 24 hours in a day. It is a lot.

Have a nice 'present' day!
