Many people say that social media like facebook takes a lot of toil in their time.

Instead of being productive in their works, they end up checking what their friends are doing, where everyone went for vacation, what a friend had for dinner etc...Yes I do agree that facebook does 'waste' your time BUT it can be healthy to regulate the usage of facebook for your own benefit. I was absent from facebook for several years and even if I logged in, it was almost once or twice a year only.

Comparing between the two scenarios,

1.) when i was absent from facebook to the now 2.) regularly checking facebook. i found out that I did not really 'save' more time when i was absent from facebook. In fact, I did not really 'waste' much timer either nowadays even if I log in facebook once or twice a day.

Why is that?

Because I impose some rules to myself for using facebook. Such rules includes I log in facebook when I have my breakfast or just after i finish an important short task. As a reward to myself in a way. I log in because i needed to communicate to someone and close off the browser when that 'goal' is accomplished.

The strongest reason why I came back active online again is because I realized social life is actually essential in many aspects. When i disconnected myself from the social circle, I also isolated myself from growth and social updates.

so, folks..don't disconnect yourself! smile emoticon Keep in touch!
